The design of this apartment uses both retro and contemporary elements to create a warm and relaxed atmosphere. The chromatic choices were neutral, a bunch of coloured greys and a couple of red and yellow accents to complete this cozy look. The travertine dining and coffee tables, the vintage natural wood used to decorate the walls, along with the vintage cuts of the furniture give the space a ‘70 look. But then, you pay attention to the detailing: modern industrial lighting systems, the extremely low bed, the wide modern sofa, the epoxy resin floors or the Louis XV chairs designed by Philippe Starck for Kartell. All this mixed with the retro elements create a unique eclectic feel, adding elegance and poise to the spatial experience. We used the south orientation of the windows to add warmth to the rooms, adding viscose caramel curtains to help increase the sunshine effect.
